School vacations don't always mean days off for parents. Our FerienCampus offers a diverse holiday programme for children aged 6 to 12 during the 2nd and 5th weeks of the Saxon summer holidays in 2025.
Family breakfast for students with children
Twice a year, Leipzig University and the Studentenwerk Leipzig organise a family breakfast in the Mensa am Park. Student parents from all Leipzig universities and their children as well as pregnant women are invited.

Access to Campus Library via Lecture Hall Building
The Campus Library at Augustusplatz is now accessible via the main entrance to the lecture hall building from the courtyard. The latter is open Monday to Sunday from 8am until 10pm.
Studentenwerk Leipzig Also Opens Dining Halls in Most Refectories and Cafés
Based on the new coronavirus rules applicable in Leipzig, the majority of the refectories and cafés run by the Studentenwerk Leipzig will also open their dining halls from Monday, 21 June.
University Library: Extended Opening Hours and Access Also for Non-University Members
Extended opening hours will be in effect at the University Library (UB) branches from Monday, 7 June 2021. Furthermore the seat booking system will also be open to non-University members and thus for all UB Leipzig users.
Reading Rooms to Reopen From 17 May
From 17 May 2021, members of the Leipzig University community will once again be able to use the study desks at Leipzig University Library. Seats must be booked in advance.
