The University’s crisis management team points out that next week, vaccinations will be offered to Leipzig University staff who are at an increased risk due to in-person teaching duties or other activities involving contact with many different people.

These employees’ superiors were informed by email at the beginning of the week about the possibility for some staff to be vaccinated. “They will assign vaccination slots with professionalism and good judgement. We hope that this offer of vaccinations will be well received. We hope to be able to offer vaccinations to more staff as quickly as possible through our occupational health physicians. This should be possible starting in June; we already applied a number of weeks ago,” said Professor Birgit Dräger, the University’s Head of Administration and Finance.
